Opinions please! BFP or wishful thinking...

I'm currently 8dpo (or thereabouts) and I caved and took a cheap test! Mostly because I wanted to stop thinking about it and I thought seeing a negative would bring me back to earth. But I'm wondering if I can see a very very faint line. Pics attached. Please let me know your thoughts. I've been staring at it so long I am wondering if I'm just seeing things now! Thank you ❤️

@TheShellBeach this is actually only second cycle so if it's actually happened I can hardly believe it, as I'm 37 and thought we'd be waiting a while.

I got pregnant on my second cycle at the age of 38.

He was our fourth baby.

@TheShellBeach wow 4! Would love a big family like that. If this is really happening, I'll be about to turn 38 or just turned 38 when baby is born and he/she would be our second. Hoping that means we might have time for more in future 🤞 but I'd better not get ahead of myself! Just focus on this (hopefully) wonderful situation for the time being 🥰

Delighted to say I got my BFP on Clear Blue early digital this morning! Can hardly believe it. I'm only 3 and a half weeks since LMP so it's very early days. Wonderful news but now the worrying starts! Thank you for all the encouragement yesterday ladies ❤️

@CadoAvo ahhh that's amazing! I did the NHS due date online calendar and it says 21st November! Have you checked yours? 🥰

@Starrysky812 the nhs calculator says 20th November. That's based on a 28 day cycle but sometimes it's 29 so wonder I'll get a different date at scans etc ☺️

@CadoAvo so close together! Yes I'm the same - I put 28 days but I'm sometimes 27 or 29. With my DD the calculator gave me 3rd December but scan gave me 2nd. Let's wait and see! Is this your first? It's my second and I've only recently joined Mumsnet. I think it'll be really helpful to have throughout the pregnancy journey. I've just joined a due November 2024 thread - have you seen that? Xx

Yes it's my first! My wife and I are both female, we got married end of last year and knew we wanted to start trying this year. We were lucky to start trying straight away as we have used a known donor so didn't need to go through clinics. It was only our second cycle so I'm excited it's happened so quickly.

Yes I'm on the November thread, I gave you a wee wave when I saw you had posted this morning ☺️ only joined Mumsnet when we first started trying to get involved on the TTC threads. My sisters used MN during their pregnancies etc, one of them acquired a really good group of friends when she had her first. Her first is now 11! I feel the due date clubs would be invaluable when you can speak to other people going through the same 😁
