Low Papp-A and Low Hcg levels?

Has anyone had low hormone levels but baby been ok?

I posted on here yesterday with the results of my combined test. I called up today asking for my hormone levels because they didn't tell me these, just that I was high risk.

Low Papp-a 0.16
Hcg 0.37

Amniocentesis is booked for the 18th. I'm trying to distract myself but really can't and feel sick.

I just need to here people's experience.

You might get more responses over on the antenatal tests forum.
We were 1/70 chance for Edwards and pataus. 0.24 for both hormones. We did the NIPT and it was low risk. With hcg and papp a being low usually that comes up high risk for edwards/pataus, is that the same for you and do you know your individual risk? Did they see anything notable on the scan?
I know nothing will ease the worry right now but i'm now 38 weeks and all is well. For the papp a I've been on aspirin since 13 weeks, have they said the same to you?
It helps to think of the risk in percentage terms and remember its screening based on algorithm.
Also I'd recommend the ARC charity to talk it through.
Sending solidarity, its so hard but you will get through it x

Thank you. So Edwards and Patau's is 1 in 34 (high risk). 1 in 770 for DS (low risk). Scan went fine, sonographer didn't see anything concerning and NT was 1.8mm.

I've been on aspirin since 10 weeks due to previous pregnancy low Papp-a and growth restriction so was expecting this. Wasn't expecting low Hcg.

I remember at the time, the screening midwife told me that for the majority of cases there would be indicators on the scan for these 2 conditions and to be reassured by the fact that the scan was good. Obviously that's not 100% the case but I held onto that during the awful limbo period.
Our nuchal measurement was the same as yours and if the scan was looking good it's really reassuring.
With hcg there is a huge range of what is considered normal and other than the screening it bears no relevance past the early weeks of pregnancy.
I'm not going to patronise you by saying to keep calm. I know I couldn't and honestly I detached from the pregnancy while we were going through this. But know that you will get through it and the odds are in your favour x
