He won't mind when the silver cross will still be going strong after DC6(!) and the Gracco would have been at the tip probably before it had even done one child.....!

i have had bad experiences with Graco products. My graco travel system i had for ds1 literally fell to pieces!! Its clunky and plasticy and everytime i went on the bus or train something would fall off!!

I refused to get one this time and we got a loola up instead

I have an Emmaljunga pram/carrycot system. We bought it in 1997 and so far it has served 5 children and is about to meet number 6. It still looks and works as new and has a better suspension system that what are considered to be the best all-terrain 3 wheelers.

Friends at the time bought stuff that was nearly as expensive or even as much as our but theirs were all falling apart after 1 child.

If you plan to have more than 1 child then get the best quality you can.

I had a Graco travel system for DD1, bought a Maclaren when she was 8 weeks old, it was big chunky and impractical as we lived in London at the time.

I second the Graco-are-rubbish claims. My £250 travel system barely did ds1 before falling to bits. The carseat bit was great, and is now doing ds3, having done ds2 along the way, but the actual pushchair was cr*p.
When ds2 arrived I bought a Cosatto Riga for £150, which carried him around perfectly, and it's now hosting ds3 with absolutely no problems.
