Would you call EPU for this?

I am 10w2d today. I had a scan a week ago today and everything already looked fine.

I have had tender boobs every day, even since before I got a positive test.

Yesterday and today, the soreness has completely gone.

I’m worried it means my progesterone is dropping / or a MMC.

Should I call EPU and ask for a scan?

No, loss of symptoms at this stage wouldn’t be overly worrying Happened to me both times and they came back after a week. I don’t the the epu would even consider a scan for that you could go private it you are worried though

SlowlyLurking · 28/02/2024 12:23

Loss of symptoms is very normal around this time. My sore boobs went around 10 weeks and then back around 18 and at 25 weeks. The hormones just fluctuate. I wouldn't bother EPAU about this but if you did, they'd likely tell you it's normal and wouldn't see you without previous history.

I wouldn't ask for a scan but I'd keep an eye on my symptoms.

UpUpUpU · 28/02/2024 12:39

I lost all my symptoms at exactly 10 weeks. I went from sick as a dog to completely normal overnight.
My son is almost 6 now.

Try not to worry.

No you wouldn't be given a scan for this and would be taking resources/time away from those women who have more serious needs for an EPU appointment

Hoplolly · 28/02/2024 13:08

As others have said loss of symptoms is common from this point on as the placenta start to take over.

Rosesanddaisies1 · 28/02/2024 13:11

No, unless you have bleeding and pain as well, changes in symptoms, especially at that stage, is very normal.

LemonJerry · 28/02/2024 13:26

Thank you all for the reassurance. No need for the tone though @anotherdayanotherpathlesstravelled

That's unfair.

TheShellBeach · 28/02/2024 13:40

Have you lost a baby before, OP?

Try not to worry. It's quite normal for symptoms to come and go.

TTCbaby2023 · 28/02/2024 13:52

As others have commented loss of symptoms at this stage is totally fine and it could well come back in a few days so being more on and off. I don't think EPU would scan you for this reason.
They did scan me at 8 weeks for that reason but I called them in a panick as I had lost a baby at 9 weeks beforehand having lost the symptoms totally at 8 weeks.

whitenoisemachine · 28/02/2024 13:57

Very normal for symptoms to come and go.

I had a mmc 5 years ago and my symptoms never went away. Loss of symptoms doesn't always mean a loss of pregnancy, just as having some or lots of symptoms doesn't always mean a pregnancy is progressing either.

LemonJerry · 28/02/2024 14:16

I haven’t lost a baby before but I have had failed IVF after years of infertility and this is a miracle really as we were told it couldn’t happen. Every day is filled with worry if I’m honest.

No, symptoms usually tail off around this time

SlowlyLurking · 28/02/2024 14:41

If you're extremely worried, book a private scan. EPAU won't entertain these 'minor' concerns even if you're worried.

Zippedydoodahday · 28/02/2024 14:45

It's very normal fir symptoms to subside around now. As your placenta takes over the heavy lifting from your hormones, many women find the first trimester symptoms drop off.

If you're really worried is a private scan an option to put your mind at rest?

CoconutGirI · 28/02/2024 14:59

It's highly unlikely epu will see you over loss of symtoms. Its completely normal at your stage to lose symptoms as placenta is taking over
