I’m 19 weeks on Wednesday and still haven’t felt the baby (this is my first). Has anyone else had this? It makes me so paranoid as I don’t even feel pregnant now I’m in 2nd trimester other than my tummy has got a ‘little’ bigger

Perfectly normal, especially with it being your first. You may also have an anterior placenta, which can mean it takes a little longer to feel movement.

General advice is that if you haven't felt movement by 24 weeks to get checked just in case. Until then, just try not to worry.

If you're 19 weeks you should have your anatomy scan coming soon, right? So that should help relax you a bit if you can see baby move on the scan

Hi, with my first I didn't feel her move till about 22 weeks. They still have lots of room. However if you are worried I would suggest you get in touch with your midwife. They can check babies heartbeat and give you the most up to date guidelines. Try not to worry about feeling pregnant that will come soon. Good luck x

My obstetrician said to flag if I get to 24 weeks without feeling anything. He said anywhere between 20 and 24 weeks is normal for first babies.

You're some way off that point so plenty of time to feel the baby move in the next 5 weeks.

Anterior placenta here, felt first shy kick at 20+3! Do not worry!

I didn't feel my baby until about 22 weeks. With first time mums it usually takes a bit longer to feel anything than when you have already been pregnant before.

I was also very stressed but I felt my baby around 23 weeks (even with a posterior placenta) so as long as your scans are going well you will feel your baby soon!
