1st (boy) chip shop chips, Yorkshire puddings
2nd (boy) chips shops chips, cheese
3rd (girl) ready salted crisps, lots of them!

I didn't find out the sex of any before birth.
The boys I was a little sicky in the first few weeks. My daughter I was extremely nauseous the whole first half of pregnancy, was awful!

Boy 1: no cravings, only aversions.
Boy 2: craved ice cream. Lots of aversions.
Boy 3: craved sweet stuff but I think this was psychosomatic as I had gestational diabetes that was diet controlled so couldn't have sweet stuff! A few aversions, mainly meat.

Girl Bacon sandwiches with tomato ketchup
Boy Nectarines and iceberg lettuce

Boy- no cravings.

I had a strong craving for curry sauce in my first pregnancy for two weeks but it was a missed miscarriage so I never found out the sex, it was too early.

You mean the baby's sex, surely?

Erm yes, wasn't aware there was a difference 😳 😬

ID twins, ready made mash and gravy, strawberries, haribo. Severe aversion to coffee and any meat in a sauce eg curry. Still haven't got over that.

Girls

OK great thats reassuring as hoping for a boy (happy with either main hope is healthy) I've spoke to some family members who all followed yhe myth with there cravings which made me wonder 'maybe there is slight truth behind it) as I'm having the exact same cravings as I did with my dd which is sweet and I also had savoury with my ds.

First born wanted Apples and ice cream ( sweet)
Second born wanted prawns and liver ( savoury ) but l didn't because bad for you during pregnancy.

Boy.
Meat,meat all the meat

onawave · 14/02/2024 13:15

First was a girl and I wanted McDonald's quarter pounder with cheese. Crumpets and roses lime cordial.
Second was a boy. I wanted Sausage rolls and blue steak

No craving as such with DS but generally salty food tasted nicer than sweet food during my pregnancy. I remember thinking a Macdonalds Egg and Sausage McMuffin was the most delicious thing I'd ever tasted! Grin I normally have a strong sweet tooth, so it's interesting how hormones change how you respond to food.

Probably a bit of post-rationalising, selective memorying going on.

I craved carbs, didn't matter what flavour

DS1, anything sour/bitter. Currently 32 weeks pregnant with DS2 and craving pepperami (red ones), the smell of petrol and weetabix.

DC1: Salt and vinegar crisps in early pregnancy, then an unholy desire for spaghetti and meatballs for the rest of the pregnancy. I also really wanted a bowl of Coco Pops at one point, then cried because I had to go to work and didn't have the time. Aversions to orange, banana, and paprika. Girl.

DC2: Other than the overwhelming urge to have the stale heel of a french baguette, no cravings or aversions. Don't ask why it had to be stale, it just needed to be. Luckily I found one in the kitchen at work! I was so happy. Boy.

1st baby (girl)- fresh orange juice, hot pork sandwiches, fajitas, salty rice. Was also insanely suggestible so if I saw a maccies ad I would need McDonald’s right away etc

2nd baby (boy)- no real cravings tbh, mild preference for malteasers
