Tracking ovulation, which tests to use?

Hey all!

Found out I was pregnant in November and unfortunately miscarried in December.

We are TTC again however I really need some help on which tests are best to check ovulation please? Been looking at the 'easy@home' ovulation tests however I am confused. Can you scan them in the app for free or do you need to pay for a subscription? After the miscarriage we were using the clear blue ovulation and luckily tested on a day I got a smiley (peak) but unfortunately didn't test positive this month and am now having my period. I can't afford to keep buying the clear blue they're too expensive!

Any help appreciated Smile

Just buy a big pack of the cheapies on Amazon, you don’t need anything fancy just look at the line on the test.
Test in the afternoon/evening rather than the morning, as this is which LH is highest. A couple a day in your fertile period and you can see line progression. You want to be DTD in the days leading up to ovulation not just the day itself, so you don’t need to be waiting for an exact perfect line.

The easy@home worked for me twice, you can scan them within the premom app without a subscription.

I used cheapies from Amazon, I think they were called One Step? Worked to help me conceive twice so I’d recommend them and if you want to use an app, you can upload any brand to the Premom app for free. Just to mention though, my test line never got as dark as the control but obviously I was ovulating and was still able to detect the peak days by the darkest line. Asda sell cheap packs of disposable shot glasses which I found useful as the ovulation strips are dip tests.

I used Ovaview strips (bought a big box from Amazon) alongside the Clear Blue digital tests - I found that with a regular cycle I ended up only using about 3 of the digital strips a month as I could just use them when I knew I would be close to ovulation and I could triangulate with the cheap strips to make sure I was catching the right day. Made it a lot more affordable to use the digital tests!
