i’ve just had my 5th chemical pregnancy, and I’m really not sure how much more I can take. Does anyone have any advice on what I can do? I have contacted my GP this morning, shall I take some vitamins? I just have no idea and really really getting me down.

any advice would be greatly appreciated

I'm sorry that you're having these losses.

Your GP is much better placed than me to advise on next steps and if there is anything you can do.

However, for your own wellbeing, perhaps it's time to not test so early? It depends on whether you think its better to know, or not, really. Give it an extra week each month - wait til the entire period is missed or you really feel pregnant, before testing?

I’ve got nothing but I’m so sorry I can’t even imagine your heartbreak … you have a big virtual hug and the biggest sprinkle of baby dust … I’m so sorry

Maybe you could request progesterone when you get a positive test? I'm by no means an expert but having suffered MCs previously, mine was (eventually) suggested to be linked to to low progesterone. I think that after you suffer 3 x MC they can prescribe it in early pregnancy to hopefully help with that early danger zone.

Sadly this is something I've only discovered now we stopped trying.

Same position here-5 chemicals but now 34 weeks. Chemicals mean something, don't let them be disregarded or be told not to test early. There's standard testing that the GP can do, mine picked up an underactive thyroid (I had other symptoms) after 2 losses. GP can refer you after 3. Mine had a counselling service which helped allot as well as the tests.
By the 5th I saw the self funded 'implantation clinic' with an amazing team run by professor Brosens based in coventry researching these kind of recurring issues. Following these more comprehensive tests I was prescribed Sitigliptin and progesterone from 3dpo. Treatment varies depending on what they find. Cost about £800 for tests and 2 consultations. That was last year so may have gone up but it's basically just to cover lab fees, nothing like private money. Something in that mix did the trick as I conceived this baby very next cycle.
Yes it could be luck, but frankly by 5 it seems like more than that and I believe there was an underlying issue. Massive hand hold, it's awful. Hope you get some answers.
