Hi all, I’m pregnant around five weeks with my second child however my anxiety levels are super high due to it being IVF and previous losses.

Anyway. I’ve been cramping/had belly ache for like four days straight now. Obviously my brain thinks the worst but I also wondered whether this kind of feeling can be normal with a second?

UPDATE
I actually don’t have any pain today after having it for four days, just feel really bloated.

I dont know whether to be happy or sad 😂

Hello!

I'm around 9weeks with my second. My first was 10 years ago, n I can't remember cramping the first time round but I have it all the time second time round. According to Google etc it's very normal! If you're worried though bring it up at your booking appointment :)

I had bad nausea (no actual sickness) with my first and intense, fall asleep in the middle of writing type fatigue from around 7wks. This time I've had no nausea and the fatigue hit at 11wks. My boobs have been much more tender though this time. I've had a nervous first trimester due to 3 losses last year so the difference in symptoms was unnerving at times! But we've now made it to a healthy 12wk scan ☺️ All the best to you x

Thank you both and congrats!!
and sorry to hear about your losses too SnookyPook, that’s pretty much where I’m at 😂 if I have symptoms I’m like oh no bad news. If they go away I’m thinking of no bad news 😂

There's no winning is there?! Unfortunately I think the nerves are inevitable whatever you're experiencing. But from my own experience and reading the stories of others, it's definitely very possible to have two completely different and perfectly healthy pregnancies. I've even heard of Mums who've had hyperemesis in one and no sickness next time! All the best to you 🥰

Wow that is a surprise! I bet some mums are put off at the thought of having a second because of it, can’t be pleasant!
Thank you! X
