No feeling movement yet - 16+6

Hello, I am currently 16+6 weeks with DC2. Still not feeling movement.

I had my midwife appointment this week and she heard the heartbeat, so clearly everything was fine! She also picked up on movement due to whooshing on the Doppler, which I did not feel at all.

I have read countless threads online about feeling early movement and it is making me feel a bit paranoid that I should be feeling something. With DC1 I first felt movement at 18+2. Is there anyone around here who could reassure me that they did not feel movement early on in subsequent pregnancies? It's just to put my mind at ease.

Thank you 🤗

16 weeks is very early. didn't feel anything with mine til 23 weeks!

I'm 21 weeks with my second and I've only really started feeling movements in the last week. Can't remember when I felt them with my first but around the same time I think.

I'm 20 weeks and can't really tell yet if I can feel baby it could be or it could be gas the midwife said today it could be up to 26 weeks before you feel anything major.

I'm 20 weeks and haven't really felt anything. Has anomaly scan yesterday and have anterior placenta plus babys feet are apparently tucked right in by my ribs (had no idea they could be that high at this stage!) so you may be in same boat.

16 weeks is very early. I think I started feeling little flutters at this stage but I had a posterior placenta so baby was right at the front. Some people don’t feel the baby until around 24 weeks.

Try and relax you’re still so early!

Still early but do you have an Anterior placenta? That will change things also.

I remember my midwife last pregnancy said it also depends on your sensitivity. Some women are more intune and feel when things are different. Some people can even feel their food passing through their bowls!!!! Just another quirk of human beings.
I have IBS so very aware of bodily happenings so did notice movement very early on.
