Did the location of your placenta change from one pregnancy to the next?

For those who've had more than one pregnancy, was the placenta in the same-ish location in each pregnancy? i.e. did you have an anterior placenta in one pregnancy but a posterior placenta in the next? (Or any other combination?)

[Just asking because I had an anterior placenta in my first pregnancy and with a C-section scar now, am a bit anxious about having an anterior placenta again (which would would put me at greater risk for placenta praevia/accreta).]

Yes - anterior with first, posterior with second. I could be wrong but I don't think there's a correlation between placenta positions in different pregnancies.

I had posterior with both my girls and anterior with my son but it moved up as things progressed and never caused any issues with birth just cushioned some of them movements.

yes, I have an abnormal shape in part of my uterus and my placenta was there and stuck and wouldn’t come out with my 1st and 3rd. Must have attached somewhere else with dc2, and it came out fine then.

I'm pregnant with my third and this is the first time I've had an anterior placenta! I imagine it's just a random thing since the placenta is a brand new organ each time you're pregnant?

Same!!

Anterior with first, posterior with second. First was natural delivery, second is still cooking.

anterior with first (which was awful as barely felt any movement). 13 weeks with no 2 and they think it's posterior this time. my husband and i cheered when we heard that!

First time I wasn't told so presume posterior. EMCS.

Second time anterior, but high. ELCS with no difficulties related to the placenta.

Posterior with my first and with this one too but this time it's low lying.

Anterior with first and was so stressful as couldn’t feel baby. Ended up being induced 37 + 6 thankfully all was well. Anterior this pregnancy but the movements have been wild all through pregnancy!

Posterior first, anterior second but moved up so it was actually at the top (fundal) and I could feel movements from early on with both. Two natural births.
