'Active' baby

I've just read through my notes and noticed that my consultant and midwife have both noted that my baby is 'active' or 'very active'...

Is that good, or bad, or not important / significant at all?

DS is a bit of a b*gger and seems to kick up a storm, especially when I want to go to sleep! but not sure if that translates to how he'll be when he's born (god help me!!)

they are just noting that baby is moving, and therefore 'happy' iyswim?

I have this at the mo (even asked a question about it on here). Movement is a good thing in so far as lack of movement can be a cause for concern. Apparently nothing bad about a lot of movement, apart from the fact that it can be blardy uncomfortable . Also seems to be no general concensus as to whether an active baby in the womb = an active baby outside the womb. I think mine just wants to stretch his lovely long legs
