Hi luckygogo.

Sorry to hear about your MC. But congrats on the new Pregnancy. There are lots and lots of women on here who have been in your position and gone on to have healthy and happy babies.

In early PG I had period pains quite alot. GP said it was the placenta growing. DD is 18m now If you are worried please go sooner and get checked.

Hi Luckygogo,

Please don't worry too much, easier said than done I know...

My sister had a missed misscarriage, she didn't find out the baby had not survived until her first scan... BUT now she is 22 weeks pregnant and all is just fine!!

As for period pains, I had them a lot in the beginning, and I hear lot's of women do, so don't worry

xx

Sorry this is a worry for you. i had a miscarriage before going on to have a successful pregnancy, and was also worried. I had a sort of gripping pain in my right ovary, and had an early scan, but it turned out to be normal egg implantation pains, and went away. Try to relax, it is early days. Many people don't even realise they are pregnant that early, and may miscarry without realising. No reason why you shouldn't go on to have a normal pregnancy. Good luck.

congratulations on your pregnancy lucky

As others have said these types of pains are very common in early pregnancy as the ligaments etc all start to stretch under the production of relaxin. This should calm down in a few weeks. I had some spotting last week and a bit of cramping and the EPU advised "if the pains are troubling/worrying you, take some paracetomol; pains go away and you are no longer worried". She sounded very flippant, but I suppose there is truth in that.

You should keep your appointment with the doctor at the very least to get your pregnancy on record so to speak. You may be able to get a referral to the EPU for an early scan, if you're lucky.

I know it's difficult, but try not to worry . There are lots of us in a similar boat on the Knicker Checkers Anonymous thread. Come over and we can all hold your hand

Thanks everyone. You are all putting my mind at ease loads.
I suppose because of the MC im just worrying about everything.
I had pains last time then i started to bleed then thats when i had the MC confirmed. I think its horrible how women have to go through this.
Because of all the kind messages ill keep you all informed on how im getting on xx

I had cramps this time round and am now 30 weeks pregnant! It is very normal and I was also pregnant 2 months after my mc.

Glad to hear your happy news!

I fell pregnant 3 months after a miscarriage, and also had tummy cramps, which worried the out of me! I also had a light bleed at 14 weeks.

I'm now 37 weeks, and awaiting bubs arrival...

It can make you feel a lot more sensitive to each little tiny pain, but try not to worry too much, a lot of people go on to have good and healthy pregnancies after miscarrying.
