Hi!

I’ve just found out I am pregnant and I tested positive at only 9dpo. Today I am 11dpo and did a first response and got another positive test! I guess I am freaking out because I tested so early that it could be a chemical 🥹 I have ZERO symptoms apart from feeling exhausted and I’m constipated.

my background:

Healthy pregnancy 2022 - have a almost 3 year old.

Ectopic pregnancy Jan 2023 - lost right fallopian tube

Now: 11dpo and positive pregnancy test.

I can’t shake the worry and I guess I am looking for reassurance. Can testing positive at 9dpo indicate a chemical pregnancy? My lines do seem to be getting darker. I have 3 days to get through until I speak to my doctor and arrange blood work, mind mind is all over the place. Any advice would be appreciated. I’ve attached some images the easy @ home tests were done mostly 9-10dpo. The pic with the first response was 11dpo x

Just relax. Tests are quite sensitive now and can pick pregnancy up at much lower levels of hcg. The downside to this is that yes more miscarriages are picked up which in other times would just have been assumed to be a period as it was so early. But there’s nothing to suggest that this isn’t going to be a successful pregnancy.

I’m not sure what blood work you think you need from the gp assuming you’re in the UK? Hcg levels aren’t taken as routine it would only be if you had any concerning symptoms ie bleeding/abdominal pain.

Congratulations!

No one can predict anything for you, chemical/ healthy/potential miscarriage.. no one.

Im curious, you talk about “blood work” are you in the U.K.?

Thank you! I’m trying my best to relax 🥹

I am in the UK yes. Because my last pregnancy was an ectopic which ruptured at 6 weeks resulting in loosing the baby and my right tube I am required to be monitored as soon as I find out I’m pregnant.

My HCG needs to be taken multiple times to ensure it is rising appropriately, from the get go. This is to pick up a potential ectopic pregnancy earlier if it is that again 🥹 praying it’s ok this time around! But I am so anxious! X

It is early to get a positive but those tests nowadays are very sensitive, and likely you just implanted early. Please stop testing though, the lines are not indicative of progress. It’s so hard but accept there’s nothing you can do-focus on what you can control like healthy eating, sleep, exercise.

Thank you! 🥰🌈

Im just loosing my mind a little, this is a big deal as I quite literally gave up and thought it wouldn’t happen again.

Yes im in the UK. Due to a previous ectopic I will be monitored more closely to make sure my HCG is rising appropriately x
