I'm 15 weeks. Started to feel movements last week. Since Sunday haven't felt anything. Wondering is this normal to things to go quiet for 2 days after they start ? Never been pregnant before

15 weeks is early to be feeling movements at all, and it can take weeks before you are able to feel them consistently. At this stage I wouldn't worry too much as long as you don't have bleeding/abdo pain/other symptoms of concern. Baby is still very tiny so it's not a surprise that you can only feel certain movements.

At 15 weeks in your first pregnancy it’s incredibly unlikely you were feeling movements anyway, but 100% normal to then not be able to feel movements when the baby is so small, try not to worry.

Yes, exactly what @pbdr had said. Very normal at this early stage for them to come and go. Baby is very tiny and so it will depend hugely on what position they are in. As long as no pain, bleeding or other concerning symptoms then I really would try not to worry. Those kicks will strengthen up over the coming weeks.

It’s normal not to feel anything until up to 24 weeks and for movement not to be regular until 27 weeks

I am 18 weeks and have felt the odd flutter here and there but not everyday and there are no patterns to it. I was told by midwife not to worry about tracking any movements until 25 weeks.

Movements can be felt before 15 weeks. If you feel concerned then ask to have the heartbeat checked. This is your baby. Do what feels right for you, not anyone else.

The baby is tiny so may have got itself into a position where you can’t feel it moving. At this stage my trust advises contacting your midwife as triage wouldn’t see you until 16 weeks, it would be the EPAU, so you could message your midwife to put your mind at rest?

FlyingHighFlyingLow · 23/01/2024 22:19

Normal as they change position. If you're worried call the midwifes for advice, they won't mind!

I had the same this time around (2nd pregnancy). Felt movement at 14 weeks but would go days before feeling anything again. Now 24 weeks and baby loves kicking away in the very early hours and on and off through the day. It’s definitely too early to feel regular movements so this sounds normal, but your midwife won’t mind you contacting them if you’re worried.
