Passed this today at 10 weeks. Have had brown discharge previously but saw the baby on a scan last week. Slight cramping and back pain but not enough for tablets. I have a scan booked for next week but can anyone offer any advice/reassurance?

Impossible to say if it's the beginning of anything, tho there doesn't appear to be any bright red fresh blood?

I had mmc at 14 weeks, baby died at 11 weeks so would have been a similar size to yours now. I lost a lot, like a LOT more than this. This alone isn't a miscarriage but sadly none of us can tell you if it's he beginning or not, I'd take comfort in the lack of fresh blood though

And I'm so sorry you're going through this worry x

Thank you for replying. Sorry to hear you had a MMC. I have had two previous losses and it is just awful x

Ive had 2 miscarriages, 1 at 6+1 and the other at 5+3, i lost a hell of a lot more than this at those dates. There was a lot more blood and a lot more clots, it never started like this, i just bled, it was like a blood bath for my 6+1, i bled through everything i had one every 10 minutes id have to change my clothes, or change the bedding. Nobody for sure can tell you on here whether thats the start of something bad. I personally dont think you have anything to worry about, it may have just been a little discharge and some dried blood coming away. Usually they say discharge is very common in pregnancy anyway and a little bleeding is normal at 9 - 10 weeks. So may possibly be just some old blood coming away with discharge, but definitely go get checked out. Wishing you the best!
