Depends on the situation.

My husband was 48 with our daughter.

He had two children in his early thirties with his first wife and has expressed how he loves being able to enjoy it this time around and be here for the child as oppose to working all hours of the day (owner of a biotech company). Now living off investments.

Who cares If other people think your the grandparent. The problem with society is people give too much of a f*ck what others think.
Age is completely irrelevant.
As long as your healthy and can mentally and financially provide for that child.
Life can be taken away from anyone and at any age , regardless whether your 'old' or young

My DH turns 45 in a couple of months and I'm currently pregnant with our second. He's fit, healthy and a super involved dad who is absolutely great with our son and my stepdaughter. Life doesn't always pan out the way people hope. Some folks die young. Some don't meet the love of their life until later on. Things happen. It is a personal decision and if the two people making it feel healthy and excited enough to want to raise kids together then that is their decision to make.
