Polyhydramnios, breech and large baby - 35 weeks

Been in triage since 10.30am this morning and just in the door. Started off with high blood pressure which calmed down then baby went a bit crazy on the CTG. Had a scan as midwife could hear a lot of "swooshing" and wanted to check everything.

Baby is measuring 7lb 5oz (38 weeks) and is extended breech with excess fluid. Waited to see the doctor afterwards who has booked me in for another scan next week at 36 weeks. I've been given the ECV leaflet and can either go for that if baby is still breech next week, book a section date or try a breech delivery (although the latter is probably a no given his position and size).

Has anyone got experience of this? Never had this with my first two! My first was 8lb 10oz (40+2 weeks) and second was 8lb 13oz (38+2 weeks).

If I was to go ahead with a planned section, when would they roughly booked this in? Will they wait until 40 weeks given his estimated size?

Thank you for reading this far!

Hi op, in my area c sections are usually always booked for 39 weeks.

I would go for planned section in your circumstances.
