I’m having my surgical management for missed miscarriage today. How long till you went back to work? I work full time and I’m scheduled for the whole weekend and Monday. My work are lovely and expect me to come back when I’m ready.

My DIL went through this last month;her GP signed her off work for 3 weeks to fully recover.

I would give yourself 2 weeks minimum

thank you. Is this more for the emotional side of things? I was told the recovery for the surgery is quick.

I think it depends how you cope. I had mine on a Wednesday and went back to work on Monday.

For me - physically fine the next day but I hd a huge hormonal crash on the Friday. Can't explain it but just felt so low.

For me - it helped to be back at work and not sitting at home thinking of what had happened. Yes I was very sad and would often cry on the way home but staying home wouldn't help me move forward.

Hope that helps

I had MVA on a Friday and was back at work on Monday, but I work from home. It was a quick recovery and by the time I had the appointment I felt I'd mentally come to terms with it. The doctor did say they could sign me off for 2 weeks if I wanted.

I was pretty much recovered by the evening of the procedure. It was under general so no pain. I’ve had four of these now and have been lucky to be able to work from home. Say the procedure was on the Tuesday, I took the next day as leave then worked from home the rest of the week.

Sorry for your loss OP.

I had multiple miscarriages and always went back to work relatively straight away but I don't cope well mentally being alone at home dwelling on things and preferred to be back in a routine as quick as possible - everyone is different though x

I have had two members of staff in your situation. One was off for three weeks and the other days. Different people needed different time to recover.
Please though don't rush back too soon.
