Unstable lie - any advice?!

I'm 37 weeks pg, 2 weeks ago the baby finally went head down and felt like the head was engaging, 24 hours later she was back to transverse!! This is my 3rd pg, last one ds2 was head down the whole way which is probably making me worry more!
MW told me today that I have an unstable lie and there's not really anything I can do about it, but is there really nothing I can do but sit and wait?! She said worst case scenario will be an emergency c-section which I really would rather avoid! Should I be doing anything to help move this baby round?
TIA!

IIRC the advice I was given was to kneel on my hands and knees, and lie lots on my left hand side, the idea being that it should hopefully tip the baby's head down

Good luck

When my 3rd was unstable lie , they wouldn't let me leave the hospital...! i wasn't impressed! Fortunately, the next day she turned again and they induced me quickly!

Good Luck!

I think she went breech on tues night but she seems to have gone back to transverse now ! I've got an appointment to see the consultant on tues next week so hopefully I'll have a better idea of what's going on in there!

Meant to ask: I was told acupressure/shiatsu might help, has anyone tried it?!

moxibustion is meant to help turn breech babies, don;t know about unstable lie. ww.spinningbabies.com has good tips re moving a baby in labour too. also google 'optimal foetal positioning'

if baby remains breech you can go for a vaginal birth, but not if baby is transverse, you will have to have a c.s

thanks camilla, not heard of moxibustion before, will google!
