Two fairly big babies, what will happen third time round?

My first weighed 8lb 10oz at 40 weeks then my second was 8lb 13oz at 38 weeks. I was induced with my second due to high blood pressure.

I had a private scan today where she said the amniotic fluid was normal, although on the higher range. I see my midwife next at 36 weeks and wondered if I can request a growth scan? I'm worried about going to 40 weeks and baby being massive!

Understandably, scans can be inaccurate and baby might be a completely normal weight, although have read babies can be bigger the more you have.

Any similar experiences would be fab! Thank you 😊

Probably not what you want to hear 😉 but my first was 10.5lbs (almost 42 weeks) second almost 9lbs (41+2) and third 9lbs 13oz (almost 42 weeks) I'm sure it'll be fine though ☺️

Wow @swingtowin! You super woman. Did you birth spontaneously? Maybe I shouldn't be worrying as much 😅

Probably a third 'fairly big baby' tbh.

I wouldn't worry. My first was 10lbs 12 so I did have growth scans for the second, which made no impact on anything. But nice to monitor. Second was 10lbs 2.

@babythreeincoming all spontaneous VBs - but almost induced for the first, and almost a CS for the last, but got to fully dilated when in theatre and shoved him out very quickly as with two toddlers already I didn't want to be incapacitated by a CS! My granny who was only just over 5ft had 4 babies, between 10 and 13lbs, at home with no pain relief - that's a superwoman!
