How accurate is midwife feeling for breech baby - worried 😟

Hi!
(Referring to baby as they as I don't know the gender and saying they makes it feel like twins! Definitely only one 😅)
I'm currently 34 weeks with my 3rd baby. Midwife has said past few appointments baby feels breech.
She explained my options is baby doesn't turn by themselves by my next appointment in 2 weeks and I'm feeling very nervous to say the least! I'm petrified of having a c-section and I understand how hard the recovery is!

Both my DS were facing down pretty early and always engaged early.
I had a kidney infection, suspected stones at about 24 weeks and when they scanned my kidneys, they said let's just look at baby too for fun and they said they are head down and very engaged, which I was surprised about for only being 24 weeks!

I'm not very good with being able to figure out where the kicks are! It just feels like they are moving all around everywhere, but I have terrible front pelvic pain.

How accurate is hand feeling for babies position? Is it possible they are just deeply engaged so it feels like they are breech?

I know I have time, but I don't particularly want an ECV either!

Thank you for reading

Thank you all so much for your messages! I feel reassured knowing either way, it should probably be OK, and that I shouldn't be so worried about a c-section if it comes to that!

I'll just hang tight and see if the baby flips down.
My mother in law told me just just rest all day yesterday and stretch out on the couch to give baby a bit of space. Tbh, by 10:30pm I did feel a lot of big movements and pressure but I'm so useless and being able to feel which part is which 😅

I can also feel something hard at the top of my bump, but I really can't tell if it's a bum or a head aha! I did try the head wiggle thing someone suggested. I personally think it didn't seem to wobble but I'm not 100%!

I guess we will find out in 2 weeks 🤞

I was told quite a few times with DD2 that she was either transverse or breach and scans confirmed, she went head down by the time I was induced and they scanned again when they broke my waters to check.

They thought mine was breech at 38 weeks, so I got sent for a scan.
Turns out it was her bony bum under my ribs. She was off the scale for length so didn't have much room inside of little me 😕

My first was breech I could feel the side of his head at the top of my bump, it was unmistakable - and uncomfortable!
I did have an ECv it was successful and fine - but the consultant I had was very experienced, she said ‘I’ve done 100s of these and this one will turn’! DC1 has always been stubborn and difficult even now they’re 12 so it was just the start of it. 😂

hey 39+3 and my last appointment midwife gave me a heart attack by saying i think shes breech, (she been head down since 28weeks) after a dig around between my hips turns out she was just very low and couldn’t feel the head low down on first feel around x
