Does this ultrasound look normal?

A bit of a weird one but I can't make head or tales of My ultrasound! It was done at roughly 6 weeks transvaginal. I've had recurrent miscarriages and my scans have never looked like this before!

I can't specifically make out which bit is which either. However if you Google images of six week ultrasounds then there are lots of similar looking ones, with 'odd' (sorry lol) shapes rather than baby-like shapes. So based on those I'd say perfectly normal.

Haha its OK they're all weird blobs at this point, I'm just used to seeing a tiny blob stuck to the side with a yolk sack, with this one It's got me stumped!

Did the person scanning have any concerns?

There wasn't a lot said as my last miscarriage was a c-section ectopic so they were just ruling out another ectopic, baby was really hard to find even with the transvaginal ultrasound I had to sit on my hands while she was doing it just to see baby, she didn't mention anything and I was discharged from epac

They are trained and I’m sure would have said if anything didn’t look as it should. As they didn’t say anything and you were discharged, I’d take it that everything looked fine. I hope everything goes smoothly for you this time. 💐

Can I ask you a question that doesn't answer your question?

Was this a private scan? If nhs how did you come to have a scan at 6 weeks?

I have had 5 miscarriages and am considered very high risk. Reason unknown. I am 5 weeks and a few days pregnant and tried to book in with the midwives at the hospital but they - in the nicest possible way - were not really interested until I get to 8 weeks.

Hi this was an NHS scan, I'm high risk also, with my last miscarriage I was advised to call ASAP when I got a positive test, and was booked in a week later, this was my 2nd scan a week after the first as the first didn't show anything. Can you speak with your doctor? They may refer you to the early pregnancy unit I'd you have had several miscarriages and feel concerned?
