Hi all

Ive had three positive tests and today went for a early viability 6 week scan

They have said they cannot see a baby yet and that I may have my dates wrong? Or I’m not pregnant at all. My first day of my last period was 23/10.

am I not pregnant?

my husband is devastated and I don’t know what to tell him.

I had a scan at what i thought was 6 + 5 weeks and there was just a yolk sac. They estimated me at 5+5 weeks if I remember correctly

EPU always scan me at 6w. The only time they have not seen anything was when I had an ectopic. Did they discuss PUL with you?

It sounds like it could be a pregnancy of unknown location OP. I had this and its a real headfuck. I hope it works out for you- if not, I had a viable pregnancy a few months later so I'm sure you'll get your baby. As pp have said, if dates are correct there should be a sac so I would prepare for the worst while hoping for the best. Its really common (albeit shit) and loads of women go through this- you're not alone

Also, going against the grain I disagree that these scans are too early. As someone who has been through this experience of PUL, I'm so glad I found our as early as possible before getting even more emotionally attached to the pregnancy

i suspect the Op will be pissed off by this

but OP…. your husband’s response (and your concern about him) would be a red flag to me.

Early scans are the norm where I live. Everyone gets sent for one when they estimate you between 6-7 weeks.

potentially you have just ovulated later op and waiting may see more in the next scan. However you are also at risk of an unknown location pregnancy and potentially lucky if able to catch this early .

wishing you well x
