Hello

Starting to feel VERY sick now all day - due in October.

I feel really bad as I all want to do is sleep all day as i feeling constantly exhausted.

DS is always full of beans and constantly wants to be out doing stuff - just getting up and moving about makes me feel dreadful.

I am really trying to grin and bear it but finding its becoming more and more of a struggle and its really getting me down (quite frankly I am feeling a bit sory for myself)

DH says I need to think positove and maybe the sickness will subside [hmmm]

sorry its not a very cheery message but needed a moan

I'm also due in October and have two small children - I find that I go to bed every night at 7:30pm otherwise I really can't cope the next day!

moan away.

It's at times like this when cbeebies becomes a godsend.

The morning sickness probably will subside, and you will feel full of beans yourself, but in the meantime you need to find some coping strategies.

Colouring books and crayons? I know he's a bit young but he will have fun.

Is your DH the type who will be happy to tidy up a messy house when he gets home? If so, let ds have as many toys out as he likes.

Does he have any friends that he can go and play with for short periods to give you a bit of a break?

yeah bed early sounds a brill idea infact sounds like bliss.

I am really luck my hubbie he is very understanding and does help out loads.

I was keeping my fingers crossed that I would not get sick this time around, but no such luck (booo!!!)

I think a combination of my hormones and tiredness are making me weepy and of course that doesn't help.

nice to have you lot as a sonding board though, !!!! (cheers)

I feel your pain. I felt horrendous with morning sickness all day every day when ds was a similar age to yours. I'm now 3 days overdue and for the last few weeks it's been more and more difficult to look after him on my own - particularly if he is full of beans or having a tantrum. Someone else mentioned cbeebies - I'm afraid it's become a bit of a crutch for me at times during the last 40 weeks - but I think you just do what you have to do to get by . Fortunately my ds has suddenly got into jigsaw puzzles, so that gives us something fairly quiet to do together that doesn't involve watching the box.

Cbeebies is great - just feel guilty putting it on so often, good to know its not just me.

one thing though - when i feel rotten I look at DS and I know pretty soon it will be all worth it!!!!

(didn't have such an incentive first time round so that's a positive!!!)

thinking positive was something my dh used to say to me im 21+5 now and sickeness went around 18th week this is my 7th baby and i have never had sickness before this one i could never understand women who used to moan about it and im afraid to say i was very blase about the whole thing.
OMG i was so sick this time the bloated feeling the gassy feeling my blood sugar was dropping all the time and i have gd so it wasnt helping.i will never underestimate the powers of the pg hormones ever again.i sympathise with you totaly i used to sip ginger tea or peppermint tea but the strange thing was it went as quickly as i arrived one day i woke up it was gone.
gaviscon helped me loads to again the peppermint in it i guess.try to have lots of rest cuddle up to your lo tuck a blanket around you and read stories if he like that.also walking getting some fresh air awas good for me i didnt want to but helped me and my ds whos 3 he was happy to rest after and so was i. good luck

I feel exactly the same way..so knackered that I can't resist crawling off to bed when my husband gets home from work.

I've got a dd who is 2 and a baby we foster and I feel pukey all day and get horrible indigestion.I'm due in October and about to start my 12th week so praying the crappiness will be over.I feel like a real misery guts!

I sympathise, too. Last time around I had terrible sickness from 4 weeks-18 weeks, but no other children to look after (although I was working full time in very full on job). This time round am just 6 weeks pregnant and it has really kicked in in the last 2-3 days. I feel nauseous all day long, have an acidic stomach and can't bear most foods. Only this time around I have an energetic 3 yr old, who also happens to be on a 2 week half term from nursery .

I had a very early night last night and got up early this morning and took DS for a long walk and play in the local park. Back at home by 11am and have been dozing on the sofa while he watches CBeebies and colours in ever since! At least he has had a good walk and I don't feel so guilty! Might be repeating this pattern all half term!
