Honestly I am quite shocked at what I'm feeling. Feels like baby is going to stretched her arm out my vagina.
I'm currently 37+5. Been having mild period like pains since yesterday. Irregular.

How was your baby lying at your last check?

AutumnComfort · 26/11/2023 20:52

My baby was breech and kept trying to kick his way out 😬😬

PullUpPrince · 26/11/2023 20:53

Yes… normal.

PullUpPrince · 26/11/2023 20:53

Yes… normal.

That's dangerous.

OP if you're concerned, go get yourself checked!!!! A quick scan should put you at ease and ensure there is nothing unusual about her lie.

Last check on Tuesday baby was 3/5 down. She was engaged head first

Don’t be so ridiculous, there’s nothing concerning about a pressure in the vagina in late pregnancy.

Oh, you think so.. I've been in and out of the hospital the last 3 weeks as I was contracting jut not dilating. Maybe I should take your advice

Having carried 4 ranging from 8 to over 10 pounds, pressure, sharp stabbing pains in the cervix, feeling the baby might burst out of his own free will, genuine pain when he turned etc were all normal for me

LyricalGangsta · 26/11/2023 20:59

If ever I squatted down I felt I might fire him out

Yeah this is my 4th pregnancy too bit I've never experienced this

Baby's head can be uncomfortable down there once they drop. They sort of grind around on the urethra!
The contractions are most likely Braxton-Hicks, but speak to your midwife if you're concerned.

All the best for a safe and happy delivery!

You know absolutely nothing about this womans pregnancy.

If you have the answers already why ask the question?

You didn’t post about contractions you posted about feeling pressure in your vagina. That happens when a full term baby’s head is pressed against the exit.

I know objectively this symptom is normal/typical in pregnancies. Which is all I said. In isolation this is not alarming. If I had other details I’d have commented. I don’t, so I answer the question posed.

Youre all very dramatic.

Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy and delivery OP. I hope it goes well.

Erm I don't exactly know what's rattled your cage. But I have asked a genuine question. I didn't think to mention about the contractions because that's not what I'm concerned about.

Sorry I misread the quote function and thought your reply was a snarky one to me.

No I'm not being snarky or anything it's a genuine question I've asked as I've never experienced it in any of my other pregnancies

Sounds normal but you can always go to triage and they can check you over xx

But if this is the case, surely you’d be straight onto the hospital to speak to a midwife?

Everytime I go to hospital they see I'm contracting but not dilating. They have admitted me on 3 occasions and nothing has happened. Tuesday when I went to see midwife she could see I was contracting and told me to go triage and again no progress.

With this being your fourth the baby can still bob around and disengage between midwife appointments and turn themselves breech- I would get checked out if you are concerned.

Why are people so god awful on here? Do you have nothing better to do than be nasty to people? 🙄also - OP knows she isn’t coming here for medical advice. She’s asking for reassurance. We don’t need to know her medical history to advise because we are not qualified midwives or doctors anyway.

OP what you’re experiencing is the same as what I have had in all 3 of my pregnancies and for me it’s been completely normal in late pregnancy. As someone said previously it’s just where baby is pushing a lot to get ready for the birth.

MaraScottie · 26/11/2023 22:10

My point is that nobody can reassure any woman who's experiencing unusual stuff during pregnancy. I'm not being dramatic or sensationalist, but OP if you have questions, the only person who can (and should) reassure you is your midwife. You could have a mad complex medical history that would mean something 'normal' for one women could be risky for another.

Asking for reassurance IS asking for medical advice.

It's one thing to say "this is what I experienced during my pregnancy and this is my experience" but to say she's totally fine and doesn't need to worry is just not your place.

MaraScottie · 26/11/2023 22:11

BTW OP, I hope everything goes well :)
