Hi everyone,

I have experienced a miscarriage, and 3 consecutive chemical pregnancies now, and I’m feeling so down about it.
Can anyone recommend anything to help? Willing to try absolutely anything now

Have you had further investigations? I’d get to the GP at this point.

I would do as the poster above said and speak to the doctor. It's possible that they could give you some scans and see if there is any reason why the miscarriages are happening.
Just to give you hope, I suffered 3 miscarriages in a row and then fell pregnant a 4th time and that baby is currently asleep in my arms.
I had investigative scans and they couldn't determine if what was the cause of the miscarriages but did say that unfortunately it's very common and just one of those things. It wasn't what I wanted to hear at the time but don't give up DaffodilSpeak to a doctor and see what they can do.

I would ask to be referred for recurrant miscarriages at this point, you are eligible after 3. There are a range of standard tests that can be done (hormome profile, thyroid, blood clotting disorders ect). If nothing comes of that I would highly recommend Tommy's, either the GP can refer you or there is a self funded implantation clinic. They do more in depth testing not available on the NHS, but I would get the standard ones done first. I had a combination of issues, thyroid issues diagnosed after 2 early losses then saw Tommy's after a further 3. Now 24 weeks as a result. Unfortunately, standard NHS care for this is pretty shoddy, be prepared to advocate for yourself. Call them miscarriages, get them taken seriously and push to get the tests done. Good luck on your journey, there is light at the end of the tunnel x

I'm 36 and tried for 2 years after a MC I would really recommend going and getting checked as there are so many possibilities and tests . It could end up being very simple and your hormones are off or you may need progesterone to help hold the pregnancy but I'd definitely start by talking to your GP and getting a referral

I've just read the book 'The Worst Girl Gang Ever' and found it so helpful!
I know it won't help physically, but I found it really helped me feel less alone and down. Wishing you all the best 🙂

Hey,

I know how you feel OP, five miscarriages/chemical pregnancies and now I’m pregnant for a 6th time I’m convinced it’s going the same way. Agree with others that you need to get tested as for some there is a reason for these losses that can be treated.

I can’t offer you a good news story but I can offer a hug xx
