Period like pain only when relaxing - 38 weeks

Hi all

Since this morning i've had pain that feels the same as I get when i'm due on my period. Except it's only happening when i'm relaxing for e.g. in the morning in bed, then when I sat down to eat lunch and now when i'm watching tv. It's in my lower back and feels like a dull ache so not in waves

The pain disappeared when I was up and about cleaning etc. Has anyone else had this and how long after did you go into labour? I'm 38+4

@jadey1991 I know I bet you're shattered :( do you have a TENS machine by any chance? Wondering if that may take the edge off some of the pain for you? Will be thinking of you. Please keep us updated when/if you can

Baby was 7lbs! Bigger than my first who was 6.4lbs so as a result had abit of a tear - only 1st degree though

No I don't have a TENs machine. I'll be okay. Only a few more days to go now.

Aww bless they estimated my lil girl to be 7lbs at my growth scan 2 weeks ago. I reckon she is gonna be a jig baby just like my son.

Awww thank you @jadey1991 Yes not long for you at all now! Wow so have you packed different sized baby clothes in the hospital bag? Sometimes it's hard to guess whether newborn will be too small or not! X

I'm all.packed now. I packed all my stuff from 32 weeks. I've only packed 0-3 month old clothes. X

@jadey1991 ah yes makes sense. I packed tiny baby and newborn as they kept telling me he will be the same as my first. Safe to say tiny baby size will not be getting used lol. I really hope you manage some rest tonight, you've been such a champ going through this for so long. I'll be here especially leading up to the big day to keep you company! X

Yes very normal. It lasted 7days for me and each day that's passed was more often in the day and worse in the early hours.
Induction talk was a nono for me and told my midwives to write in my notes at the front that no discussion about it until 42 weeks. Took the stress right off and I went into active labour at 39w5d and DS was born 9hours later @ 6lbs Healthy and natural.

Hey babes, just an update from me. Had my lil girl this morning at 04:46am. Had an emergency c section although I don't feel it was an emergency at all. Had a lovely experience.
She weighed 8lbs1oz. So happy 😊 😃.... hope your doing well xx

Feeling absolutely fine... slightly painful but I am taking painkillers. Enjoying all the cuddles and can't wait for my othenchildren to see her xxx

Defo is.. I'll be here till at least Sunday just because I has emergency c section.. no they haven't come up today... they have seem videos and pictures xx
