Will I freak out about the baby inside me?

GIRLS PLEASE.

I’m starting to have so many threads but I have so many questions!😭 I’m a first time mum and the main thing that’s put me off having a baby all this time (is not only my PCOS) but is having a tiny human literally inside me.

Will I panic and freak out with the movements? Like how am I going to cope! I do have generalised anxiety which can be heightened by literally anything…but the thought of a human, hair, nails being inside me freaks me the hell out…

I’m 7 weeks so still early days but just want as many questions answered before I continue this journey!🫢

Many women my age (25) post photos on social media saying “my girls” and even call each other “girlfriends” I honestly don’t see the issue in it at all. There’s literally drag queens that refer to each other as “girl”…I honestly don’t see what the issue was in me saying it🤣 I’m more concerned about pregnancy and making the right decisions than how I refer to people.

If you have anxiety and you are worried this will be increased by the pregnancy, talk to your midwife about that as soon as possible.

Fair enough. But bearing in mind that this is the seventh thread you've started concerning your ambivalence towards this pregnancy, I think you need help with your anxiety, or you need to really consider whether or not you want to continue with it.

I'd say feeling the movements and being aware of your baby inside you was the absolute best bit about being pregnant for me. It certainly gave me a bond with each baby months ahead of any bond my husband could make with them. It may help trying to think of it not as weird but actually as one of the most natural things in the world (for mammals anyway). Without that feeling of a baby inside you no mammalian life would exist.

I hope the pregnancy goes well for you.
