Hey everyone due anytime now! Due date is 22nd November and I’m not thinking shit I’m probably not going to get sorted if he comes after then with a newborn 😂. I’m tempted to get decs up this weekend even though it’s early! Im pretty organised have bought most presents and wrapping paper ready but feel odd doing it so early but can I really be bothered with a new baby, will I get time? (I have a huge family so loads to wrap) 😬

whats everyone else doing who’s due around now? How are you all feeling! Every little niggle I’m over analysing and thinking shit is the baby coming haha

Yes, think we're on thread 6 now! It's on the pregnancy board, can't work out how to link on my phone. Everyone else due around now may be on it too so hopefully someone more technically astute can link 😅

To be honest you'll have plenty of time to get decs up after baby is born. Of course there are exceptions due to complications etc, but babies don't really do much and are pretty boring so just have them near you and get on with it! My friend is having her section on November 20th and is looking forward to having time to get things ready and not just rushing on weekends.

Get you partner to get them out of the attic @Anonymousm 😊 When you feel like it over the next few days, stick on a Christmas movie or some music and put the decs up. I absolutely love decorating for Christmas and how cosy it makes the house feel - you’ll appreciate it when you go into labour, and when you come home with your new baby and can just sit enjoying the run up to Christmas and soaking up all the newborn cuddles 😊

Best of luck with everything 😊

I’m due on the 20th November! We decided that if I’m still pregnant on my due date we’ll get the decorations down then as a due date treat 😁😂

It is a little more complicated for us as I’m having a home birth so will have to work out where the tree will go and if that still allows us to move the furniture we need to move to put the birth pool up!

Might leave the tree until after baby if that’s easier. I’m not sure how much I fancy the idea of directing DH decorating the tree whilst I’m trapped under a newborn though. So who knows!

@Inyourwildestdreams
I do like the thought of returning to a decorated house and a fresh baby to enjoy it with! 😆, Christmas will have a real meaning to it this year that’s for sure! 👌🏻 I’ve told partner to get the decs out for me to sort through and get up anyway on Saturday so I think it’s a decision I’ve made, their going up and anything else I want to add in will be bought on Sunday given I’m still pregnant! How exciting 🥳

@PinkPlantCase
Good Luck! Anticipation is real; I said to my partner originally if I’m still pregnant on 22nd I’ll put my tree up, now I’m thinking shit I’m chancing it and feel like I won’t want to because I’ll be drained so stuff it, it’s getting done over the weekend, while my back can just about cope with it! My auntie offered to to do my tree and there’s no way I’m letting my partner do it, it would be thrown together! Plus I enjoy it 😆
