32 weeks, how likely is it my baby will turn?

I am now 32+2 with my 3rd baby.. Both previous pregnancies baby has been head down by 28 weeks and stayed there for the remainder of pregnancy. But this monkey has decided on a footling breech position, I have felt absolutely no kicks higher than my belly button. Midwife’s all keep telling me she has time to move but give me that disappointed look when they feel her head high in my tummy 🙄

Basically wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience. Did your baby manage to turn themselves? I feel like she tries but ends up back in the same position. I’ve seen information about spinning babies but I am bed bound with SPD so am not able to do any exercises or barely move for that matter.

Thanks for taking the time to read 🙃

Hi OP - all four of mine were breech until 35 weeks, when they turned.
All four remained head down.

I wouldn't be too worried about a breech at 32 weeks especially as it's not your first baby.
I hope your baby turns!

Very likely to move still, don't worry. Cat and cow stretches are thought to help with both moving baby and spd, I know they are one of the only things to have helped my pain and I've been on crutches since about 25 weeks because of it.

Look up spinning babies on you tube and do their daily exercises on their website - they have paid courses but you don't need them... the positions are all about opening up your hips and pelvis and loads of people have success with them!

hey its very likely your baby will turn before you go into labor , she might even decide to turn just as labor begins !! my baby has been head down since 27 weeks but im still not ruling out the idea of her spinning the last few days and becoming breech !! i know when my friend was pregnant with her first her baby was breech basically up until a week before the baby was born and like you she was put on bed rest the last few weeks of pregnancy. hope this helps !! best of luck with the rest of your pregnancy

Ah sorry just seen the end about being in bed! If possible try sitting up on your sit bones rather than lying back, it's meant to help, if you can do hip circles, or cat cow like someone else suggested that may help too

32+1 and my baby is breech too... I am having stern chats with her and doing gentle exercises to encourage her to move as I also have low platelets so natural birth is in my best interests. Come on babies!!!

Mine turned at about 37 weeks IIRC although I was doing spinning babies techniques.

DaffodilSunshine · 03/11/2023 19:47

Mine turned at 37 and a half weeks. I did all the spinning babies stuff though I'm not sure whether it actually made a difference or not

MJH27 · 03/11/2023 20:55

Thank you all for the replies! Looks like she still has time to move.

I’m 37 weeks with a baby who had been breech all pregnancy until a successful ECV today.
Hope baby turns for you, but if not there might be options for you.

MJH27 · 03/11/2023 21:07

Glad to hear the ECV was successful for you! I have to admit that is something that really terrifies me. Best of luck ☺️

I scrubbed my skirtings and felt baby turn

TheShellBeach · 22/11/2023 18:38

How are you getting on, OP?

eloisie · 22/11/2023 20:17

Mine was still breech at 38+0. I refused ECV and did not do any exercises, wanting to let things happen as they were meant to be. When my waters broke at 38+6 baby had turned around. It can happen at the very last minute!

OneWildNightWithJBJ · 22/11/2023 20:25

Any change OP? My first was only discovered to have turned as they did one last scan to check before I was about to have a caesarean. We were literally minutes away from being wheeled into theatre. We were sent home and it was another three weeks before he arrived - by emergency caesarean!

shivawn · 22/11/2023 21:25

Very likely. At 32 weeks your baby could still change position multiple times.

TheShellBeach · 03/12/2023 13:21

You must be over 36 weeks now.
Has your baby turned?
