Maternity bras for bigger boobs?

Hoping for some advice on maternity / nursing bras for bigger boobs.

I'm a 38E and have only ever had success with underwired and thicker bras - otherwise they look a funny shape and my nips stick through all my tops (which I personally don't love).

I bought this bra from M&S when I was 12 weeks-ish and although it's ok I found that I just made my boobs look sad and I was constantly aware of my nipples. Also weirdly the black one seemed to press in the wrong place and give me indigestion https://www.marksandspencer.com/flexifit-non-wired-full-cup-bra-a-e/p/clp60439504?intid=mobileappppdpshare

So I went back to my nice underwire bra but I've found that it's starting to become uncomfortable as my bump gets bigger so it's time to look again - and think about one that's suitable for breastfeeding!

Does anyone have any recommendations of ones that look good but feel comfy please?

Also - how do you account for bigger boobs when the milk comes in? Or do nursing bras just have the flex in to cope?

Thank you!

You need to go to bravissimo. Also there is a Freya underwired nursing bra which I loved. You will need a few bras because they tend to get heavy wear and covered in milk every day

@katienana ahh my nearest bravissimo is over an hour away but sounds like it could be worth a trip!

Can you buy nursing bras before you know how big your boobs are going to be with milk or do you have to wait til after? Feeling quite clueless!

I had some lovely nursing brass from Bravissimo. Really supportive and actually fairly attractive.
Definitely worth the trip.

I’m a similar size and also miles from a bravissimo, the best I found was hotmilk. https://www.hotmilklingerie.co.uk/?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwkY2qBhBDEiwAoQXK5dw5Q0eGdfYcLxur3Kjz0Vs_lQNbkhLHf30hAs7PbuV9zFuot-jmUxoCCFYQAvD_BwE I ended up needing some huge ones once my milk was in so I’ve got a few different sizes. They were a bit more expensive than I would normally spend but super comfy and have lasted well through 2 babies. Somehow without underwire they are supportive enough and look good.

34J/K here. Bravissimo does good underwired ones, I personally don't get on with their non-wired.

Since being pregnant I've switched to Molke bras. I have found them really comfortable and supportive, no wires and nursing friendly. They are quite flexible and cover multiple sizes so they can accommodate pretty well.

Another vote for hotmilk! Not nursing yet but I have bought one wired bra in the the next two sizes and will evaluate what I need once the baby gets here. I have been wearing a wired hotmilk bra for the past couple of months and they are comfortable and supportive and still make me feel nice

Ooh definitely looks like I'm taking a trip to Bravissimo!

My nearest one is Leeds.. Don't suppose if anyone knows if they have a good stock of hot milk / other maternity bras there?

Slightly controversial perhaps but I have been to a different Bravissimo branch twice (pre pregnancy) and bought loads because it was a long drive there. I ended up regretting most of my purchases and always find I get nicer fits from my local independent lingerie shop. But that was a while back so maybe it has improved.

Hi
I’ve gone from a 32dd to a H cup being pregnant. I originally went to bravissimo but I wanted a shaped one with no under wire if that makes sense and they didn’t have any like that in the size. I got some underwired ones but they are too uncomfortable. Like someone else said I’ve heard hot milk is good and this is what bravissimo recommended to me

Notnowbernard63 · 02/11/2023 20:55

i liked hot milk for some nicer looking bras

Hanitiser · 02/11/2023 20:59

Try cake. I have a couple of bras in a 32HH that I like from there. Echoing pp's, hotmilk is a good shout too.

Where I live I have 'The bra lady' 🤣 Basically, a lady that visits before and after birth to size for nursing/maternity bras. Check out if there is anyone similar in your area?

I am. 38DD and honestly the best nursing and maternity bras ive ever worn were from Primark. They were so good I wore them for over a year after I stopped breast feeding. No underwiring required with them they were fab,

Choosealane · 02/11/2023 22:09

I bought two Hotmilk's and still wearing them 10 months after he was born - so two bra's worn daily for 15 months - good value I reckon and they're so pretty!
