Hi, I am currently having twins, I am 25 weeks. I have 4 other children so these two are number 5&6! Over the past 2 weeks I have had horrendous pain...down there😂...when I turn in bed, when I get up from sitting or laying down and when I say pain I mean pain, As if someone has kicked me repeatedly in the, sorry, vag 🖕🤣 I googled and SPD came up, never heard of it before... Is it worth mentioning to my midwife? Tbh though I don't see a lot of anybody, I had an appointment at 16 weeks and my next is not until 28. I've had 1 growth scan and 1 consultant appointment which lasted all of 10 seconds 🙄 it's just getting quite bad now its so painful to get up in the night just to go to the toilet I almost can't walk sometimes. My youngest is 11 months so... yeah 🤣 I still get up to her once or twice in the night and the ache is horrendous!!! What can I do 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes mention it to your midwife, or you can self refer in some areas to the physio and they can help you a bit with it though it doesn't really resolve until babies are here. It sucks! Had it with my third from 16 weeks and physio definitely helped and acupuncture. My midwife was great at getting me referred.

I feel for you, it was the actual worst pain. Try sleeping with pillow between your knees or if you have a pregnancy pillow that will help. Tell your midwife asap and ask for physio referral. I had to go weekly but I had other issues also, misplaced hip, sciatica etc. I found little things like keeping knees together when standing up, getting out if chair, turning in bed helped. You may get told to wear a pelvic belt but you can't wear it sitting down which wasn't good for me at work as I was up and down but my physio gave me a massive tubigrip bandage worn doubled over to take the weight of bump off pelvis which might be good as you get bigger. Hope something helps and take it easy

It really is it's awful, I've never had it before so I googled panicking thinking something terrible was happening 😂 turning over in bed is the worst pain of all 😩 I'll definitely mention it to my midwife wasn't sure whether there'd be anything they could do about it to ease it so it's good to know there's things that can be done!! Roll on the twins arrival, this pregnancy has been a whole new experience 😂
