Back 2 back baby

38 weeks and baby is OP (back to back).

My first labour was back to back and lasted forever, eventually not progressing and ended in an EMCS. It was also super painful, with all of it in my back/spine.

My midwife has suggested hands and knees for 15 mins a day, but everything I read online suggests most babies won't turn until labour (if they do turn).

Has anyone done anything that actually turned their baby before labour?
Like you were lunging or swimming or doing yoga and BAM! you felt a big turn and baby was in the right position?

Swimming! I didn’t feel my daughter actually turn round my bump changed shape and was more rounded all over. I swam every day between 37 and 39.5 weeks, more to keep my mind off the waiting but it was so relieving on my whole body! Just an hour in the pool without the feeling of carrying a water melon was lovely! Good luck and congrats x

Have you heard of the Spinning Babies website? It has lots of information about exercises to try to turn breech and back to back babies. I was back to back at my last midwife appointment and did these exercises for the final few weeks and my baby had turned when I went into labour. I just did the exercises as described on the website (they have courses you can pay for but I didn't bother with that). Here is a Link. If you search the site for an exercise called the forward leaning inversion you might find that handy too- it's sort of a more extreme version of being on your hands and knees.

Thanks so much!

Both of mine were OP - first took forever, ventouse, stitches etc, second about 5 hours, really straightforward, no pain relief
