I am pregnant with no 2 and feel terrible. For the first 12 weeks I was tired but then felt a bit better but now feel woozy, faint and head achey. Also have pains in tummy which midwife said were too high to be pregnancy pains although it is really low down!

I remember the tummy pains from last time but not the faintness or is this just exhaustion from runnin after a 2 year old?

Hi kathryn, i'm 32 weeks with no.3 so can identify with what you're saying. Are your iron levels ok? If low could be making you feel woozy. Not sure about the tummy pains bit - please go back to the mw again to put your mind at rest. Also, I've found through trial and error that if I don't drink about 2 litres of water a day I always get a headache - I just seem to need fluid this time but often forget to keep topped up, if I drink more, hey presto, the headache goes.

Really hope you're feeling better soon

you might be a little aneamic, you can safely take spatone during pregnancy, it will boost your iron levels, take it with orange juice and eat iron rich foods

Your last sentence probably says it you are running round after a toddler so you are not able to relax and rest as much as you did last time no easy answer can your OH give you a break at the weekend? Have you family or friends locally who could give you an hour or so to relax and have a doze? Low blood sugar and mild dehydration can give you a headache as can tiredness stress and worry.

As well as iron levels (it's a common problem but mine were fine and I felt like this) How is your blood pressure? it goes through a point where it can drop a little which if you are feeling tired can be exacerbated. I also found I went through a stage when my blood sugar plummeted which made it worse. Try eating small regular meals (more than 3 a day) and see if that helps also try drinking a little more fluids as in water or fruit juice. If your blood pressure has not been high then try eating very slightly more salt this will help the body keep more fluid inside it rather than just pee it out.

I felt awful for the whole middle trimester... my iron levels were alright, but I think part of it was that I had such bad SPD that I couldn't really get out and go for a walk - think that would have made me feel loads better.

Also might have had something to do with all the pizza and chocolate I was eating, instead of more healthy things, heh
