Hi everyone,
This is my second chemical pregnancy consecutively and it’s so disheartening. I’m trying to do as much research as possible into why this is happening. I’ve been reading about potential progesterone deficiency, but just want to hear about it and your experiences? I’m going to go to the GP next week for some advice, and I’ve also just started taking some pre pregnancy vitamins. Anyone have any suggestions as to what I could do next? Any advice is greatly appreciated as feeling so down about this!

Hi @Berrylady, so sorry to hear of your chemical pregnancies. I experienced bleeding after ovulation for 18 months then got pregnant and had a chemical in March. My GP had referred me to a gynaecologist and I luckily saw him the day of my next positive test in April. I'd already started bleeding so he prescribed me Cyclogest progesterone pessaries to take until 20 weeks and the bleeding basically immediately stopped. I'm now 30 weeks pregnant.

It's definitely worth speaking to your GP about the pessaries, there's no harm in taking them but unfortunately it's hard to know whether your chemical pregnancies have been because of a progesterone deficiency or if the pregnancies just weren't viable. I also found that my GP wasn't willing to prescribe them but I've read online that some do and also some EPUs do. Really hope you manage to get some answers soon xxx
