Hey everyone,
I'm nearly 33 weeks pregnant and absolutely exhausted, I regularly get pregnancy insomnia, can't get comfy at night, pelvic gurdle pain etc.
I have an 18 month old and my other half is in a cast following ankle surgery and he can't weight bear. I'm basically running a house, looking after our toddler, working and about to lose my shit tbh. I'm absolutely shot at.
Is it normal to feel this tired? People keep telling me to rest, but I'm not exactly sure how

So sorry, I sympathise. And I get that being told to rest when you have a toddler and a DH who can't really do anything is just rubbing it in. Do you have anyone who can come sit with your toddler or take them out for a few hours so you can get a bit of rest? Insomnia is the worst but even being able to have a nice bath and a lie down with nothing to do can really help mentally. Keep going, you're almost there and it will pass, though a newborn doesn't exactly mean you'll be getting any more sleep 😞 just take time for yourself everyday so you don't get overwhelmed. Good luck 🤞

Appreciate you replying, it's good to know other people have experienced / experiencing this too ❤️

My parents have our son one day a week whilst I'm working, work is the break atm I guess. Feel like I'm taking liberties asking them to do any more 🙈

I wish you could buy energy, sleep deprivation is torture 😖 x

I'm so sorry, I feel your pain. I'm 29w with a 3yo but luckily my dh able to do stuff. PGP is the absolute worst, mine is just beginning but I remember how awful it was last time.

When my dh was in a leg boot years ago, I used to give him ways of helping while sitting down eg give him a pile of clean laundry to fold, or put a high stool in front of the sink and get him to do all the washing up. Also chopping vegetables for dinner, he can do that sitting at the dining table. You'd be amazed actually how much housework you can do without the use of your legs! Also he should be doing all the bedtime reading etc for your older dc.
