Covid booster in the first trimester

I'm currently 10 weeks pregnant and had my COVID booster shot earlier today. Last year, I suffered a devastating miscarriage after contracting COVID, so I've been extremely cautious this year. Given that I work at a university and am constantly around students, I jumped at the chance to get the booster when my GP offered it. I thought it would provide extra protection against COVID while I'm working. However, after getting the shot, I read the accompanying information. It states that the vaccine hasn't shown any negative effects during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, but data for the first trimester is limited. Now, I'm starting to worry that I may have made a mistake by getting vaccinated so early in my pregnancy.😥😭

The NHS says: "It's safe to have the vaccine during any stage of pregnancy, from the first few weeks up to your expected due date. You do not need to delay vaccination until after you have given birth. Getting vaccinated against COVID-19 reduces the risk of having a stillbirth."

I'll be having mine at 7 weeks along with my flu jab, I'm eligible for both separately due to an underlying condition.

I had mine when I was about 8 weeks or so, DD is 17 weeks now and absolutely thriving. I did the same mental torture to myself that you're doing, and still do if I'm honest as we don't know the long term side effects possible due to it being so new, but she's very healthy, the smiliest baby I've ever met and hitting milestones way in advance (been rolling out of tummy time since 3 weeks old haha).

I know I'm only one person, but I had my covid booster at 8 weeks and all was absolutely fine, I'm hoping the jab plus the covid infection I had at 20 weeks will have given my now 7 week old a little bit of protection. I think you were wise to have had it now given that covid seems to be rife atm! It's all about assessing/weighing up risks, imo any risk from the vaccine is far smaller than the risk of severe covid in pregnancy.

My midwife has said I have enough immunity, having had the booster last time round. She says it isn't worth having yet another one so just flu and whooping cough for me

I had my covid jab in my first trimester and absolutely glad i did, baby lovely and healthy, and you want the antibodies to develop before you hit the risky stage to catch covid infection in 3rd trimester
