So sorry for long time users, I know you will have seen copious amounts of this same post

Some background, like many I'm wanting to test "early" but the truth is my period is so irregular I don't know how early I am at this stage as it varies.

The trouble I'm having is I'm seeing lots of people have success with First Response. Then the more I read into it some people didn't like those at all. I know to avoid any blue dye tests, and have found one step strip tests give unreliable results.

Can anyone that's tested this year recommend their favourite ones that produced reliable results? It would be much appreciated, TIA!

First response all the way! I'm an IVFer so a slightly different testing regime, but when I've been pregnant I've had extremely strong positives from them 10dp5dt (so 15dpo). Get the first response early result, wait until your period is due or near enough, and I don't think you'll have any ambiguity.

Having said that hormone levels differ between women, so even though I've had strong positives someone else might get a weaker positive but have an equally viable pregnancy. Just try not to test too early. That way lies madness.

Clearblue do a digital early test, I find the digital easier as there’s no ‘is there/isn’t there’ a line. You’ll get your answer plain and simple in words

Thanks both! I'm definitely going to give it another week I think then go from there
