38 weeks can anyone advise

I'm currently 38 weeks pregnant. Started feeling small gushes and on wiping the fluid is pinky/red. My movements have really decreased to the point I only feel baby move if I try really hard like rolling about etc and then it's a quick jab and that's it.

I've been to the assessment centre three times since last week. Two CTGS took an hour to meet due to baby not waking up and showing movement, one took longer to meet due to them saying it was picking up my heart rate not the babies. Previous pre eclampsia in pregnancy, BP is currently 135/96, whilst not really high my BP on booking was 114/21 for comparison. I feel unwell in myself, pulse rate is high and there's always white blood cells in urine but they've said there isn't a cause for concern and probably just discharge. They've done a speculum and waters are in tact.

I just feel like I'm been left as a ticking time bomb, but if I keep going up saying I'm not happy will I look crazy? What realistically will they do? I'm just making myself feel so worried about it all which won't be helping. Can anyone advise or offer some wisdom to calm nerves?

Please please don't stress about being annoying. Just go back to hospital. Think about the worst outcome and compare that to someone being annoyed you're there again.

Go back! Every. Single. Time. Its literally their job, I can imagine they would be happier too send you on your way more relaxed and knowing everything was fine! At this stage it's really not worth the risk!

As others have said go back

TolkiensFallow · 20/09/2023 15:59

Keep ringing triage and keep going back. It’s honestly not the time to tough it out alone or worry about wasting someone’s time.

Keeping check on babies movement might be reassuring but is also something you can do proactively to feel in control.

Please keep going back. If something was wrong and you didn’t go in incase you were annoying you’d always regret it. The worse thing they will say is that they will induce you due to several episodes of reduced movement. But always always go in.

reallyfedup12 · 20/09/2023 17:10

Thank you, does anyone know the likely hood of them offering induction at 38 weeks with 3 episodes of reduced movements?

Ask them, tell them your worried about going home with these symptoms.

SophieinParis · 20/09/2023 19:28

Oh my goodness..if I had reduced movement at your stage I’d want to be induced asap, particularly with your other symptoms
In fact, I had one episode in my 1st pregnancy of reduced moment and although he was fine once they eventually got the heartbeat they nonetheless induced me that evening to be on the safe side.

The NHS are great when there’s an emergency but I’ve found they do not an awful lot until the emergency comes to fruition. More of a reactive than an active approach, particularly in obstetrics.

Never stop going in, only you can advocate for your baby.

@reallyfedup12 many have a cut off of 3 times and then suggest an induction, especially at your stage. Definitely worth asking them
