Hello,

I believe I have been getting PGP. Have looked up the symptoms and my aches and pains match. I do have a midwife appointment next week so will bring it up then but does anyone have any advice in the meantime to help try and ease it. I am 29 weeks pregnant and really struggling to walk and get comfortable.

Any advice would be appreciated please.

If you have the means, would strongly recommend you book an appointment with a women's health physio. PGP can be managed during pregnancy with the right exercises and treatment. All the best!

One of my consultants recommended checking this out for info and resources :)
I've been seeing a physio since about 18 weeks for mine and have now (I'm just over 30 weeks) got crutches and a belt to wear when I'm going to be walking/standing for more than 5 min.
Unfortunately physio does seem to be quite a lottery system in different areas with how long it takes to be seen, I was lucky and it was 2 weeks from referral but I've heard of others waiting months.

I had terrible PGP with both pregnancies. I found physio useless. The only thing that helped was going for 1 hour swim 3-4 times a week. This kept me off crutches. On both occasions PDP resolved after 6 weeks

Ask to be referred to the physio if you can! I was quite lucky in that they marked my referral as urgent and was seen within a week. By the sounds of it, it’s more about managing it rather than trying to cure it whilst still pregnant
