I have an anterior placenta and extra fluid.

I have felt baby kick a few times, but I don't know what's normal.

I'm getting a scan Tuesday.

I'm 29 weeks tomorrow.

I just feel like I don't know what's normal and what's due to being overweight and the things above.

If your baby hasn't kicked the normal amount FOR YOU today, phone your maternity unit now and speak to them. The anterior placenta may be the cause, but you can't know that so you should never assume it is. It never hurts to phone and ask.

Oh.. you mean you have felt a few kicks in total over the pregnancy? If so, and you're not meaning that today is particularly different, then I would ask your midwife at your next appointment what you should do/expect. Unless it's ages until your next appointment, then maybe phone her tomorrow and ask.

Go in whenever you need reassurance. The midwives will never mind, they'll tell you you've done the right thing. You'll be home after an hour or two reassured and having heard that beautiful heart beat x

Hello.

Baby has started to be active EnvyHmmSmile

I've been feeling kicks/movement for a little while.

I did go to triage at 26 weeks.

I find that the "normal pattern" advice can cause more worry than "normal stimulus", especially with an anterior placenta.

So my baby responds a lot to a cup of tea and music with a strong drumbeat, so that's what I use to provoke him if I'm worried, rather than worrying about times of day.
