I’m 36+2 today. Have felt baby boy love but nowhere near anything like I have been! This has been happening today and last night. Have said to my partner all day im not happy at all with his movement!

ahould I go in and get checked?! I have felt him today they just aren’t as often as I would usually feel them.

just know he’ll love the minute I get the hospital!

Please please go. Don't wait any longer. I went in over a dozen times with my first and same with my 2nd for reduced movement. Call labour ward if you need to at this time of the evening. It's super important and they won't think your being silly. You know your baby best.

I hope all is OK.

WhiskersPete · 26/08/2023 20:03

Just go and get checked - they will be happy to provide reassurance!

Blossom45 · 26/08/2023 20:04

These babies always give us a worry don’t they! But, yes definitely get checked; any change in movement should be checked. The hospital would rather see you and it all turn out to be fine than not see you at all. Hope all is ok!

mumtotwox · 26/08/2023 20:04

Go now 😊

Magssss · 26/08/2023 20:05

Yep go in. This happened to me and they whipped baby out pronto as he was in distress. The midwives won't mind AT ALL of its nothing, they deal with false alarms daily. So much better to be safe than sorry.

DuploTrain · 26/08/2023 20:08

Yes, get checked.
I’m sure everything will be fine, he might have just changed position so you can’t feel the movements as much, but always best to be sure.

Miscellaneousme · 26/08/2023 20:09

Call your maternity unit now and get checked.

Nursemumma92 · 26/08/2023 20:10

Yes definitely go, important to be checked with any change. I went to be checked at least once in both my pregnancies and the midwives were lovely. They always said that they would rather see 50 women in a day whose babies are all fine than one woman whose baby was not fine because she didn't want to bother anyone. All the best x

ToilTrouble · 26/08/2023 21:00

Yup, I'd call the hospital - they'll almost certainly say to just come in and check.

I had similar around 32 weeks and went into the hospital. They did an ultrasound and baby was happily moving around but had changed position so I couldn't feel the movements at all. I didn't know that could happen!

VariantHela · 26/08/2023 21:03

Go now.

splishsplash3 · 26/08/2023 21:06

You're told at every single antenatal appointment to go in if you notice a change in the pattern of babies movements.

You should have gone last night.

Go to triage right now.

Pooheadbumbum · 26/08/2023 21:07

Honestly go! I had similar with 3 out of my 4 babies and never once felt like I was being over the top or ridiculous once I went in (although thankfully of course, the babies instantly sprang into action the minute I was strapped to the monitor!)

Very best wishes! X

MuchTooTired · 26/08/2023 21:11

Absolutely go in, they’d rather see you tons of times and all be fine, than not. I actually got told off by my midwife for not calling when I was having braxton hicks at 33 weeks or so as they were pretty regular and I was carrying twins. Anything different, I’d call them.
