am about 20 weeks pg

When I have a day when I am on my feet loads, the next day my fanjo aches like billy-oh

it kind of feels like a dragging period pain in my actual vagina I guess

my pelvic floor is a bit poor but I do try to do Kegels etc

is this normal or a sign of something sinister? (ie my internal organs are about to fall out)

ok! lie down with your feet raised higher than your hips and don;t think about kniickers or vulvas

FrannyandZooey · 29/02/2008 21:07

so how does that fit in with OFP eh?

I will be swinging from ceiling with feet higher than my shoulders while simultaneously mopping floor on all fours at this rate

lol @ fixed by kegels. He don't sound nice.

Is kegels something interesting or should I not bother asking?

Lulumama · 29/02/2008 21:22

you can lie down proplery for once, i give you permission to forget about OFP for a bit !!

kegels just another word for pelvic floor excercises

pointydog · 29/02/2008 21:23

ahhh, thanks lulu

Franny, congratulations! I had no idea you were pregnant.

No idea about the aching fanjo though...sorry

gloriana · 29/02/2008 22:07

Does it feel like someone has kicked you in the fanjo and that you want to put your hands on it to hold it up? Or, as another friend said, like after a night of hard sex !!!

I experienced that in my third pregnancy and a physio friend told me that it is pubic symphysis (SPD). There's not much that you can do but they advise not to walk too much and to wear a maternity belt.

DumbledoresGirl · 29/02/2008 22:09

Hmmm, I had (still do have 5 years after my last baby) SPD and for me, it is a completely different feeling than the throbby fanjo pain I was talking about earlier.

But if you think it is SPD, I can talk about that too. God it is a bundle of laughs, my nether regions.

Thanks Brassic

you know what I have doesn't sound half so scary as all these descriptions
it just aches a bit, like I have tired it out by overuse, or similar to the type of period pain I occasionally get
I think it must be being on my feet a lot, but wondered if it meant a) my pelvic floor was getting a good work out and keep it up type of thing or b) everything was slowly descending and I should see a doctor and sit down for the rest of my life
