Can you lose your waters without realising? Bump seems smaller than a few weeks ago! 37 weeks

Just like the title says. Bump/baby has dropped but honestly my bump feels tiny compared to what it was last week. Obviously baby is still there but I’m worried I’ve maybe lost my waters without noticing? Has anyone either experienced this feeling of a much smaller bump? Or lost their waters without noticing? I have a MW apt on Friday so will ask then but worried if it’s a long time
without waters there is risk of infection

I'd think it's because baby has dropped down into your pelvis ready to meet you :) Good luck OP.

No. It was an absolute avalanche. I could have filled a swimming pool and then some. Everyone said it doesn't happen like it does on TV - I flooded maternity reception.

It'll just be that baby has moved down into your pelvis; which makes your actual bump feel a lot more compact - but do contact your midwife before Friday if you're worried.

😂😂😂 this is how I hope it will be! Very obvious if a bit unpleasant! Can’t help but worry they’ve broken in the shower or bath and I’ve not noticed!

OP, please go and get yourself checked out. My mum dragged me to see a consultant when I was 36weeks as she said my bump had gone concave. It turned out that my waters had gone without realising (probably gradually over the previous week, id just felt a bit damp, nothing else ) , and was later discovered that the placenta had failed. I had a C section later that evening, but another week would have been too late. Always worth getting someone to look at you just in case.

If they have broken they will continue to trickle out so you would have noticed. It’s because baby has dropped
