Hello, first of all I have 2 dc no issues very straightforward pregnancies then in December I had a miscarriage at 9 weeks, but baby stopped growing at 8 weeks.
Now, I started bleeding Saturday night, has a scan yesterday at 11weeks 5 days and they confirmed it was a miscarriage that happened at 8weeks 4 days (exactly when I had my early scan that showed a strong heartbeat)

So I feel so much I would like another but the thought of this happening again is just too much. I feel that it's strange it was 8 weeks both times and i'm scared something is wrong. The EPU said they will refer me for blood tests for investigations in the upcoming weeks and have given me a Doctors letter for progesterone pessarys if I fall pregnant again (need a whole other thread to understand what these are and how they work)

Anyway I guess i'm feeling so sad and without hope today and I don't understand why this is happening and I hope someone can give me advice and experiences of the same thing.

I feel so alone today and have no-one in my real life I can talk to that would understand. Thank you for reading x

So sorry this has happened to you @Ladyinpink1

I had 2 miscarriages around the same stage (7-8wks) in between two successful pregnancies. I didn't do anything different while I was pregnant with DC2 and I've no idea why the two in-between didn't stick.

I had the progesterone peasaries 30 years ago after three successive MCs following the birth of DC1. Whatever they did, they worked.

Sorry for your losses op.
Im 25 weeks with dc3 🤞🏻 I had two consecutive miscarriages before this pregnancy, one at 6 weeks, the next was at 15 weeks which was really hard. Also had an early 5 week one between dc1 and 2 (their pregnancies were event free apart from some early light bleeding with dc2). After my late mc I got a referral to Tommys through my GP. For this pregnancy they recommended progesterone twice a day from BFP until 16 weeks, then 150mg of aspirin from 10 weeks until delivery. Didn’t end up starting the aspirin until 13 weeks as I had bleeding in the first trimester.
I’ve also been taking pregnacare, a top up of vit d, and cranberry extract because of uti.
Trying to stay positive and wishing the next 15 weeks would hurry up!
Wishing you good luck if you decide to try again x

Thank you @CobraChicken and @mathanxiety for sharing, and again the progesterone is a popular denominator in a success. But also, I can't believe how many people have had 2 losses in a row then a healthy one after, it really makes me feel hopeful but also a bit annoyed because when I researched 2 losses in a row to try to work out what to change, it said the chances of it are only 2% which made me feel even worse that I was a 1 off and so something was definitely wrong but I think this thread proves that is not true!

@Bug84 congratulations, that was a lovely outcome after the heartache and I appreciate you sharing what you did differently this time, I am making a list of all of the tips on this thread because I think I have to try again, after this is over, 1 more time. x
