Hi,
i found out I was pregnant on Friday and have been absolutely over the moon!, then today I’ve been doing some research about become pregnant so soon after a c section and I’ve scared myself.
I am currently 4 weeks pregnant and my daughter is 4 months old. I had to have an emergency c section when I gave birth to her. I know the recommended waiting time is 12-18 months to conceive again.
has anyone been in the same/similar situation before or know anyone who has?
I’ve been reading to risk of what could happen during pregnancy and when in labour, I’m hoping it’s not as bad as I’ve started thinking it’s going to be

I’m in the same situation, what did you decided to do? I’ve been advised to terminate the preganancy

4 sections, 15 months between dc3 and 4. Dc4 weighed 11.6lbs, I was huge. No concern or problems with the pregnancy from any professional, and a straight forward pregnancy despite size.

@BecBecBec10 was that medical advice? While spacing of pregnancy post section is advised (for your health and to reduce risk). Usually they just monitor the next pregnancy carefully. I’ve a small age gap between my two (unexpected. First was assisted conception, second natural) and love it. No difficulties. Due #3 currently which will be my third section in 4 years and have had no negative medical feedback,

I’m three months post emergency c section. But I had fully dilated. Medical advice was risk for baby rupturing into abdomen. my previous baby was 4kg, and my cervix had to be stitched unusually. My first baba was an ivf miracle, so this is another.

I have 13 months between my two - first was an elective c section as they were breach and second was a VBAC. I was consultant led during second pregnancy but they were seemingly unconcerned throughout - I don’t recall any difference in my ante natal care and the only thing which was different during labour was that they didn’t want me to have a long final stage - I was told if baby wasn’t out within an hour of pushing, they would do an EMCS to minimise the risk of the scar rupturing.

Certainly no one ever mentioned terminating the pregnancy due to the small gap. I’d get a second opinion if I were you OP and from a consultant obstetrician if this advice was given by either a GP or a midwife.
