Covid risk?

I work in music / the arts and am starting to get a lot of autumn events (festivals etc) filling up, when I’ll be 20-28 weeks along, and have just clocked that I’m potentially increasing the risk of covid (given time of year etc).

should I try and mitigate this or am I overthinking it? I’ve had the vaccine and also had covid a few times, but my midwife did flag it as something to try and avoid?

thoughts really welcome :)

I had Covid at 11 weeks pregnant and 37 weeks pregnant. Little one is now happy and healthy 8month old.

I would say it would be hard to avoid if it's for work? I went along as business as usual throughout

I’m the same & will be similar to yourself.I work within the music industry too & tour season kicking in & things going around it’s made me panic a bit.Have had covid twice knowingly so far & was very ill with it so will get the booster - hopefully helps. Also thinking of wearing mask to help myself a bit? Multi vitamins & trying to eat healthy once this first trimester stuff settles.

Most people don’t test for it anymore and isn’t usually any worse than a cold so you’re unlikely to know you have it. I had my second during lockdown and the midwife would always reiterate that there was no risk to baby if you got covid. This time the midwife said they don’t worry about covid anymore, as in there’s no boosters for pregnant women or any extra precautions needed anymore

Agree with above. Don’t even think about it.

Thank you all - this has been really helpful.

And I hope you stay safe too @snoopy18 - glad I’m not the only one who was worried and agree with trying to take extra precautions if I can x
