Morning sickness

Hi All
So I have been suffering with morning sickness since week5 now week ten. I’m sick every morning and night with nausea during the day. The first doctor I spoke to said he won’t give me anything unless I am throwing up in front of him. That was week 7. Just been to see another one whose tested my urine, said I’m not dehydrated so to put up with it as it’s best not to risk harming the baby with anti sickness tablets. Am I missing something? The NHS website says the tablets will not harm the baby. Both doctors I have seen were men in their early 60s/late 50s I’m wondering if their views are old fashioned or they are correct? Thankyou- I can hold a little down but this is starting to get to me.

That's terrible - insist on seeing a different doctor. I had awful morning sickness, spoke to 3 or 4 GPS at my surgery who were all happy to prescribe and try me on different meds until we found something that worked.

That's ridiculous. Keep on it at them! X

No advice on your actual question but have you tried chewing gum to ease the nausea? I start the morning gagging and about to throw up but can keep it at bay if I chew gum, sometimes I am chewing gum all day to get by x

So many women taken anti sickness when pregnant with different levels of severity. The two Drs reasonings seem very odd.

Could you try your midwife and explain what's happened at the drs? They may be able to get you meds without you having to go back to your GP?
