Hi all

Thinking of buying a babasling babaslings.co.uk/ because they looks quite user-friendly. Has anyone got any good/bad experience of having one?

Ta!

I'm also thinking of getting one, so would love to know as well!

My husband used one with our son and found it ok for the first eight weeks, after that he moaned that it hurt his back (the poor thing). I found it quite uncomfortable to use for any length of time and got a Hugabub, which was fantastic and really not difficult to get the hang of.

My son is a giant and when he got to about 8 months, I wanted something with less stretch and got an Ergo (which I can recommend) and have only recently stopped carrying him in as I'm 30 weeks and he's now the size of a three and a half year old!

Realise I've rambled a bit, but we found that we needed different slings for different stages and sizes. We also had a more traditional baby carrier which was so painful to use and rubbed the poor lad's legs to bits, so I would avoid one at all costs.

I've got one, I find it fine, but not used any others to compare it to. DS is only 3 months, so only used a couple of positions, but like it so far.
PS They are half price in TK Maxx...

Ooh, will have to pop to TKMaxx asap then! Thanks!

It's interesting what you say about different slings for different stages, ww, because I already have a Mothercare four-way carrier I got second hand but was thinking of using it later when the bub had grown out of the babasling. I know most carriers and slings are supposed to be suitable from 0-3 but I suppose it depends on lots of factors...

I have one, DS is 18mo and its been a lifesaver on days out when he's got bored of being in the buggy and won't walk.

Having not had it when he was a small baby, i can't really comment, but it works lovely as a hip-riding support with an older baby.
